MMP Books- FV 4201 Chieftain Main Battle Tank
Illustrator:Dariusz Karnas and Editor: Richard Kent
Paperback, 24 pages- all of Scale Plan illustrations
There's really not too much to say about this one-- if you are interested in scale plans of the Chieftain in the major modeling scales, this is your book. There is nothing else here-- just excellent three-way drawings of the major variants in 1/35, 1/48, 1/72, and 1/76 scales. For each scale, you get side, top, and front views of the following variants:
- Chieftain Mk. 2
- Chieftain Mk. 5
- Chieftain Mk. 11
- Iraqi Tank Shir
The drawing are crisp and clear and are folded in three sections-- and ought to be perfect if you are checking for kit accuracy, or looking to copy them for possibly making camo masks. I scanned one of the 1/76 pages since it included all four variants on one page...
Highly Recommended for those looking for scale plans of this important British-made MBT.
